Location
The airport is located 13 miles north of Rio de Janeiro and has two major roadways the Linha Vermelha and Avenida Brasil connecting the city to the airport. The airport is also the gateway to Brazil located on the Governor’s island in Guanabara bay.
Terminal Information
The airport has two terminals 1 and 2 that are connected by travelator.
Rio de Janeiro Airport Information Desk
The Infraero information desk is located on the second floor of terminal 1 and also on departure floor in terminal 2. For further airport information call (Ph: +55 21 3398 4106) and flight information is available on (Ph: +55 21 3398 4106). Automatic information kiosks are located in terminal 2.
Traveling to and from Airport
By Bus : the airport shuttle bus operates from the airport to the hotels and tourist destinations in Rio. The Empresa Real operates air-conditioned buses to the city center, along sea side and the hotels.

Currency Exchanger & ATMs : both the facilities and a bank is located in terminal 1.
Food & Drinks : there are cafes, bars and restaurants available in terminal 1 and also located in the terminal 2.
Shopping : some of the finest range of shops are located in the central commercial are in terminal 2.
Left / Lost Luggage : 24-hour left luggage facility is available.
Other Facilities : 24-hour hospital and pharmacy is located in terminal 1.
Post office is available in the terminal 1.
Luggage lockers are also available in terminal 1.

The airport has lifts, ramps, wheelchair accessible toilets, automated doors and telephones. Designated parking is available at car parks. For any special assistance passengers should inform the airlines in advance.
